Post-Op Maintenance & Scar Tissue Therapy

Scar tissue formation is part of the body’s natural healing process

that forms stronger and thicker replacement tissue.

This less-pliable tissue often limits muscular or cutaneous (skin) flexibility

and thus range of motion.

During the first 8-10 weeks post-injury is when the scar tissue can most easily be reduced with massage therapy through edema management and myofascial release techniques to prevent scar tissue buildup and improve mobility.
